Overview

MB-CART2219.1 is an autologous, dual-target chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy engineered to recognize both CD19 and CD22 on B cells, developed by Miltenyi Biomedicine/Miltenyi Biotec for the treatment of relapsed or refractory B‑cell malignancies including various B‑cell lymphomas and leukemias.[1][4][7][8] Patient T cells are collected, genetically modified ex vivo to express a tandem anti‑CD19/anti‑CD22 CAR, expanded, and reinfused after lymphodepleting chemotherapy, enabling targeted cytotoxicity against malignant B cells that express either or both antigens while aiming to reduce antigen‑escape relapse seen with single‑antigen CAR‑T products.[1][3][4][7][8] Early-phase clinical development is ongoing in adult and pediatric populations, with Phase 1 trials assessing safety, dose finding, and preliminary efficacy in relapsed/refractory B‑cell malignancies.[1][4][7][8]
