Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MB-PD-101 is an intracellular immunotherapeutic nanobody currently in preclinical development by Mercury Bio for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. The therapeutic is designed to be delivered across the blood-brain barrier and into neurons using Mercury Bio's specialized delivery platform. Once internalized, the nanobody targets and modulates intracellular pathogenic proteins that contribute to the neurodegenerative process in Parkinson's disease. By targeting these proteins directly within the cell, MB-PD-101 aims to provide a more precise and effective intervention than traditional extracellular therapies.
