MB-SCT-204 is an investigational cell therapy consisting of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) that have been ex vivo processed to enrich for CD34+ progenitor cells and deplete T-lymphocytes (CD3+ cells). Developed by Miltenyi Biomedicine in collaboration with New York Medical College, the therapy utilizes the CliniMACS magnetic cell sorting technology to create a graft that facilitates hematopoietic and immune reconstitution while minimizing the risk of Graft-versus-Host Disease (GvHD). By removing donor T-cells from the graft, the procedure aims to eliminate the need for post-transplant pharmacological immunosuppression with calcineurin inhibitors. It is primarily being evaluated for the treatment of high-risk Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) and other hematological disorders, including beta-thalassemia, acute myeloid leukemia, and myelodysplastic syndrome.
