Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MB-siCOV is a preclinical small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic developed by Mercury Bio (Mercury Holdings) for the treatment of COVID-19. The drug is designed to silence specific SARS-CoV-2 viral genes through the RNA interference (RNAi) pathway, effectively preventing viral replication and assembly. Mercury Bio utilizes a proprietary delivery platform for the intracellular delivery of nucleic acids, and MB-siCOV represents their antiviral application of this technology to target the SARS-CoV-2 genome. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
