Overview

MB22001 is a proprietary, titratable form of lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) developed by MindBio Therapeutics for take-home microdosing. It is designed to deliver sub-hallucinogenic doses of LSD that patients can self-administer at home, primarily targeting depressive symptoms in major depressive disorder and other mental health conditions. The drug allows for individualized dosing based on patient tolerance and aims to provide therapeutic benefits with a lower side effect profile compared to conventional psychedelic doses. Clinical trials have demonstrated rapid, robust, and sustained reductions in depression symptoms, with significant rates of remission and no serious treatment-related adverse events reported. MB22001 is also being investigated for use in late-stage cancer patients experiencing existential distress and has potential applications in pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS) and pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD)[1][2][4][5][6][7][8][9].
