Overview

**MB272** (also known as **GS-0272**) is a first-in-class monoclonal antibody that acts as a selective agonist of the **B and T lymphocyte attenuator (BTLA)**, an immune inhibitory receptor. Developed originally by MiroBio using their proprietary **I-ReSToRE** platform, it targets BTLA on **T cells, B cells, and dendritic cells** to inhibit their activation, suppress inflammatory immune responses, and restore immune homeostasis. Acquired by **Gilead Sciences** in 2022, MB272 represents a novel approach to immune checkpoint agonism for treating autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, with **Phase 1** trials completed in healthy volunteers demonstrating safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics via intravenous and subcutaneous routes.
