Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MBb32 is a therapeutic peptide developed by Animate Biosciences for the treatment of cardiac conditions, specifically myocardial infarction and cardiac fibrosis. Discovered using the company's proprietary AnimateIQ™ platform, which leverages multi-omics data from regenerative species and generative AI, MBb32 is designed to reduce inflammation and reverse structural damage caused by ischemic injury. In preclinical mouse models of severe myocardial injury (LAD ligation), a single low-dose injection of MBb32 significantly reduced infarct burden (scar size) and improved left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). The drug is currently in early-stage development, progressing toward IND-enabling studies.
