Overview

MBF-132 is a selective small molecule inhibitor of histone deacetylase 8 (HDAC8) under development by Medibiofarma. HDAC8 is a class I histone deacetylase that plays a key role in regulating gene expression and chromatin structure by deacetylating both histone and non-histone proteins. MBF-132 is being investigated in preclinical studies for the treatment of cancer and fibrosis, where HDAC8 activity is implicated in pathological cell proliferation, tissue remodeling, and fibrotic progression.
