Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MBS-233 is a preclinical gut-ecology candidate drug developed by Shanghai Microbio Technology for the treatment of intestinal inflammation. It is discovered and produced using the company's proprietary 'intestinal anaerobic symbiotic fermentation' platform technology, which cultivates and ferments multiple bacterial strains to generate a defined, qualitative, and quantitative mixture of bacterial metabolites (gut-ecology). MBS-233 is designed to treat inflammatory conditions of the intestine by modulating the gut microenvironment and altering the composition of the gut microbiota.
