MBS8 is a small molecule drug formulated as nanoparticles encapsulating the TLR7 agonist 1V270. It is designed to activate Toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7), leading to stimulation of both innate and adaptive anti-tumor immune responses. Mechanistically, MBS8 activates cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL)-mediated anti-tumor immunity and stimulates immune memory T cells for sustained tumor cell recognition and elimination. Preclinical studies have shown that systemic administration of MBS8 results in strong recruitment of neutrophils as primary effector cells for rapid tumor killing, along with the generation of tumor-specific CD8+ cells and establishment of immune memory. The drug has demonstrated significant anti-cancer activity in multiple solid tumor models both as monotherapy and in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitors such as anti-PD-1 or anti-PD-L1 antibodies. Clinical development is ongoing for advanced malignant solid neoplasms[1][2][4][5][7].
