Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MBT-002 is a next-generation recombinant botulinum toxin candidate developed by MVRIX. Produced using an E. coli-based recombinant protein engineering platform, it is designed to modulate the botulinum toxin receptor and the deubiquitinase pathway. The drug is intended for both aesthetic (cosmetic) and therapeutic neuromuscular indications. MBT-002 is engineered to offer improvements over traditional botulinum toxin formulations, specifically targeting faster onset of action, extended duration of effect, and an enhanced safety profile. It is currently in preclinical development.
