Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MBTC-CR-EX0 is an extracellular vesicle (EV)-based regenerative therapy developed by Stemmedicare for the treatment of corneal diseases and the promotion of corneal regeneration. The drug is produced using a proprietary immune-tolerized EV platform, which is designed to deliver regenerative signals to damaged ocular tissues while minimizing the risk of immune rejection. As a cell-free therapeutic approach, MBTC-CR-EX0 aims to restore corneal transparency and function by leveraging the bioactive cargo within the vesicles to modulate the local microenvironment and stimulate tissue repair. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
