Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MBTC-DT1-EVs is an extracellular vesicle (EV)-based therapeutic candidate being developed by Stemmedicare for the treatment of Type 1 diabetes. Utilizing Stemmedicare's proprietary EV platform, the drug consists of bioactive vesicles derived from stem cells, which are intended to deliver therapeutic cargo to modulate the immune system and potentially promote the regeneration or protection of pancreatic beta cells. This cell-free approach aims to provide the immunomodulatory benefits of mesenchymal stem cells while minimizing the risks associated with live cell transplantation. As of the current pipeline status, MBTC-DT1-EVs is in the preclinical development stage, specifically identified as a candidate for efficacy verification.
