Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MC-1019 is an investigational cannabinoid-based medicine developed by Medlab Clinical Ltd for the treatment of chronic pain. It is formulated as an oro-buccal spray containing a combination of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD). The product utilizes Medlab's proprietary NanoCelle sub-micron nanoparticle delivery platform, which is designed to enhance the absorption of active ingredients through the buccal mucosa. MC-1019 acts on the endocannabinoid system by targeting CB1 and CB2 receptors to modulate pain signaling. It has been evaluated in prospective observational studies in Australia to assess its safety, tolerability, and efficacy in patients with chronic pain.
