MCA-derived mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) are a specific preparation of mesenchymal stromal cells developed by the Leids Universitair Medisch Centrum (LUMC) for use in regenerative medicine and immunology. In the context of renal transplantation, these cells are being investigated for their immunomodulatory properties to prevent or treat biopsy-proven acute rejection.
