Drug intelligence / Profile preview
mCB-MSCs are mesenchymal stem cells derived from mouse compact bone. They are being investigated as a novel therapeutic strategy for chronic asthma. In a murine model of ovalbumin-induced chronic asthma, intravenous administration of mCB-MSCs significantly reduced histopathological changes in both distal and proximal airways, including basement membrane, epithelium, subepithelial smooth thickness, and goblet cell hyperplasia. The cells were shown to migrate to lung tissue and promote a Treg response, suggesting an immunomodulatory and regenerative mechanism of action.
