Overview
mcRM153 is a mouse chimeric recombinant antibody (rat-mouse chimeric antibody) engineered with antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) activity. It is derived from the variable domain of the commercially available rat-derived anti-mouse CD153 antibody (clone RM153). Developed by Kyoto University and Epitope Science, mcRM153 targets CD153 (CD30 ligand), which is expressed on senescence-associated T cells (SA-T cells). By targeting CD153, the antibody depletes SA-T cells, suppresses tertiary lymphoid structure (TLS) formation, and reduces fibrosis and failed-repair proximal tubules in aged injured kidneys. It is being investigated in preclinical models for the treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD).
