Overview

MD707 is a monoclonal antibody targeting the alpha chain of the interleukin-7 receptor (IL-7Rα, also known as CD127), developed by Effimune. It exhibits potent cytotoxic activity against CD127-positive cells, primarily effector T lymphocytes (including naive and memory T cells), through antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) and potentially complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC), while sparing regulatory T cells. Additionally, certain clones like MD707-3 possess antagonist properties that block IL-7 binding to CD127, preventing IL-7-dependent T cell survival and proliferation. This dual mechanism aims to deplete pathogenic immune cells in transplant rejection, autoimmune diseases, and CD127-positive lymphomas or cancers.[1][15]
