Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MDC-004 is a research-stage organ-targeted lipid nanoparticle (LNP) delivery platform being developed by MediciBio. The technology utilizes passive targeting lipids to preferentially accumulate in specific organs, such as the spleen or lungs, enabling the localized delivery of nucleic acid payloads. By targeting the spleen, MDC-004 is designed for use in cancer immunotherapy, autoimmune disease treatments, and in vivo CAR-T cell therapy. When directed to the lungs, the platform is intended for the treatment of genetic lung diseases, respiratory infections, and lung cancer. This approach aims to enhance therapeutic efficacy while minimizing systemic off-target effects by concentrating the drug's activity within the intended tissue.
