Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MDC-75 is a proprietary topical solution containing a high concentration (75%) of hydrogen peroxide, developed by R&D Pharma for the non-invasive removal of various benign superficial skin lesions. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of seborrheic keratosis, common warts (verruca vulgaris), benign dermal naevi, skin tags, and isolated low-grade actinic keratosis. The mechanism of action involves the induction of localized oxidative stress and chemical cauterization upon application to the lesion. This process leads to protein denaturation, lipid peroxidation, and subsequent tissue necrosis, causing the abnormal growth to slough off over time. MDC-75 is typically administered by a healthcare professional in a clinical setting and has been evaluated in clinical performance studies in Mauritius.
