Overview

MDC-PAN is a macrophage-based cell therapy, specifically a macrophage-drug conjugate (MDC), currently in preclinical development by Cellis. It is designed to treat pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) by utilizing macrophages as delivery vehicles to transport therapeutic agents into the tumor microenvironment. This approach aims to overcome the delivery barriers typically associated with pancreatic cancer, such as dense stroma and poor vascularization, by exploiting the innate ability of macrophages to infiltrate solid tumors and home to hypoxic regions.
