MDH-013 is an orally administered microbial extracellular vesicle (EV)-based therapeutic derived from *Lactobacillus paracasei* (LpEVs), developed by MD Healthcare in collaboration with Kolmar Korea. MDH-013 is designed to target the unfolded protein response (UPR) to alleviate endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, thereby suppressing inflammation and cell death. The therapeutic is currently in Phase 1 clinical development for the treatment of various solid cancers, including colorectal cancer (CRC), non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), pancreatic cancer, hepatobiliary cancer, renal and bladder cancer, and breast and ovarian cancer. Additionally, MDH-013 has demonstrated preclinical efficacy in animal models of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) by reducing dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis.
