MDH-015 is a microbial extracellular vesicle (EV) nanotherapeutic developed by MD Healthcare for the treatment of retinal diseases, including dry age-related macular degeneration (dry AMD), wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD), and diabetic retinopathy (DR). The therapeutic is based on MD Healthcare's proprietary platform that utilizes EVs derived from the microbiome to modulate disease pathways. Clinical development for MDH-015 reached the completion of Phase 1 in the fourth quarter of 2023, with Phase 2 trials projected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2026.
