Overview

MDH-091 is an investigational microbial extracellular vesicle (EV)-based therapeutic being developed by MD Healthcare for the treatment of atopic asthma and allergic rhinitis. Derived from commensal bacteria, microbial EVs act as key intercellular messengers that can modulate host immune responses. MDH-091 is designed to target the underlying inflammatory pathways of allergic airway diseases, offering a potential non-invasive, next-generation biological treatment option. The candidate is currently in Phase 1 clinical development, with Phase 2 trials planned to initiate in early 2028.
