Overview

MDI-0238 (also known as MOD-B) is a small-molecule inhibitor of the KIT receptor tyrosine kinase, currently being developed by Alivexis, Inc. KIT is a critical regulator of mast cell survival, differentiation, and activation. By inhibiting KIT, MDI-0238 aims to reduce the number and activity of mast cells in tissues, providing a therapeutic approach for mast cell-driven allergic and inflammatory diseases. The drug is currently in the IND-enabling stage for multiple indications, including anaphylaxis, food allergies, chronic urticaria, asthma, and eosinophilic esophagitis. Preclinical models have demonstrated its efficacy in both acute and chronic mast cell-related conditions.
