MDT-15

MDT-15 is a small molecule drug initially developed by Medtronic for the treatment of nervous system diseases, with primary clinical investigation in lumbosacral radiculopathy and sciatica. The drug has reached Phase 2 clinical trials, where it was evaluated for pharmacokinetics, safety, and preliminary efficacy in subjects with lumbosacral radiculopathy. Its mechanism of action and molecular targets have not been publicly disclosed. There is no evidence that MDT-15 has received regulatory approval or advanced beyond Phase 2 as of March 2025[1][3]. The name "MDT-15" also refers to a mediator subunit protein studied in C. elegans research; however, this is unrelated to the pharmaceutical agent developed by Medtronic[2][4][5].
