MDX-060 + gemcitabine

MDX-060 + gemcitabine is a combination therapy consisting of **MDX-060 (iratumumab)**, a fully human IgG1κ monoclonal antibody targeting CD30, and **gemcitabine**, a nucleoside analog chemotherapy agent. MDX-060 binds specifically to CD30, a cell surface receptor highly expressed on malignant cells of Hodgkin lymphoma and some other lymphomas, leading to inhibition of CD30-positive tumor cell growth[1][2][5]. Gemcitabine interferes with DNA synthesis, resulting in cytotoxic activity against dividing tumor cells. The combination has been investigated in relapsed or refractory classical Hodgkin lymphoma as a means to augment anti-tumor effect compared to either agent alone[3]. MDX-060 was originally developed by Medarex and later in clinical trials by Bristol-Myers Squibb[3]. The combination is intended as an experimental therapeutic strategy for treatment-resistant Hodgkin lymphoma.
