Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MDX2301 is a multispecific antibody developed by ModeX Therapeutics, a subsidiary of OPKO Health, for the treatment and prevention of COVID-19. Utilizing ModeX's proprietary MSTAR platform, MDX2301 is engineered to bind simultaneously to multiple distinct epitopes on the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. This multispecific approach is intended to provide broad-spectrum neutralization against a wide range of viral variants and to increase the genetic barrier against viral escape. The development of MDX2301 is supported by a collaboration with the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA).
