ME-344 + bevacizumab is a combination therapy consisting of ME-344, a mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) inhibitor, and bevacizumab (Avastin), an anti-angiogenic antibody. This combination creates metabolic synthetic lethality by leveraging the ability of bevacizumab to reduce glycolysis, forcing tumors to switch to mitochondrial respiration via OXPHOS, which is then inhibited by ME-344. The combination has shown promising results in clinical trials for metastatic colorectal cancer and HER2-negative breast cancer.
