Overview

ME004 is a peptide-based amylin analog being developed by Letolab for the treatment of obesity and weight management. Amylin is a peptide hormone co-secreted with insulin from pancreatic beta cells that plays a significant role in glucose homeostasis and the regulation of satiety. By acting as an agonist at amylin receptors in the brain, ME004 is designed to mimic the effects of endogenous amylin, leading to reduced appetite and decreased food intake. The drug is currently in the IND-enabling stage of development, positioned within Letolab's metabolic disease pipeline alongside other candidates for weight loss and NASH.
