The measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine is a live-attenuated biologic vaccine used to provide active immunization against measles, mumps, and rubella infections. It is a combination product containing live attenuated strains of the three viruses: typically the Enders' attenuated Edmonston strain for measles, the Jeryl Lynn strain for mumps, and the Wistar RA 27/3 strain for rubella.
