Overview
VaxPro (also known as M-M-RvaxPro) is a live attenuated trivalent vaccine developed by Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD) for the active immunization against measles, mumps, and rubella. It contains the Enders' attenuated Edmonston strain of measles virus, the Jeryl Lynn (Level B) strain of mumps virus, and the Wistar RA 27/3 strain of rubella virus. The vaccine is indicated for individuals 12 months of age or older and works by stimulating the immune system to produce protective antibodies and cellular responses against these three viral pathogens. It is the European brand name for the vaccine marketed as M-M-R II in the United States.
