Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a quadrivalent live attenuated combination vaccine developed by Shenzhen Kangtai Biological Products (BioKangtai). It is designed to simultaneously protect against four viral diseases: measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (chickenpox). By combining these antigens into a single injection, the vaccine aims to simplify immunization schedules and improve compliance in pediatric populations. The vaccine works by introducing weakened forms of the viruses to stimulate a robust and long-lasting immune response, including the production of neutralizing antibodies and T-cell activation. As of current reports, this specific MMRV candidate is in the preclinical stage of development.
