Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Measles, mumps and rubella combined vaccine, live, also known as MMR, is a live-attenuated combination vaccine designed to provide active immunity against measles, mumps, and rubella viral infections. It contains weakened forms of the measles, mumps, and rubella viruses, which stimulate the immune system to produce antibodies and create immunological memory, thereby offering long-term protection without causing the diseases themselves. The vaccine is indicated for active immunization for the prevention of these three diseases. Shanghai Institute Of Biological Products is involved in its development and evaluation.
