A combination vaccine containing both measles virus antigen and inactivated poliovirus antigens. This product is designed to provide immunization against both measles and poliomyelitis (polio) in a single injection. The measles component is typically a live attenuated virus, while the polio component consists of trivalent (types 1, 2, and 3) inactivated polioviruses. Such combination vaccines are intended to simplify immunization schedules by reducing the number of injections required for protection against these diseases. While combination vaccines with DTP, Hib, hepatitis B, and IPV are widely used (e.g., Pentacel, Pediarix), there is no evidence from current sources that a licensed commercial vaccine exists combining only measles and inactivated polio antigens without additional components[1][7]. However, co-administration of separate measles-containing vaccines (such as MMR or monovalent measles) with IPV is common practice[10].
