Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MeAxon Plus is an injectable nutraceutical and small-molecule combination product developed by Bion Therapeutics India Pvt Ltd. It is specifically formulated with methylcobalamin (1500 mcg), folic acid (0.7 mg), and niacinamide (12 mg) to address nutritional deficiencies and provide supportive care for metabolic and neurological disorders. Methylcobalamin, a coenzyme form of vitamin B12, is essential for nerve metabolism, myelin sheath formation, and red blood cell production. Folic acid (vitamin B9) serves as a critical precursor for DNA synthesis and cellular repair, while niacinamide (vitamin B3) acts as a precursor to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+), supporting cellular energy metabolism. The product is primarily indicated for the treatment of megaloblastic anemia, vitamin B12 and folate deficiencies, and as a supportive therapy for peripheral neuropathy. It is approved and marketed in India as a parenteral vitamin supplement.
