Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MEBO Moist Burn Ointment (also known as Moist Exposed Burn Ointment or MEBO) is a topical botanical-based treatment developed by the MEBO Group for the management of burns, wounds, and skin ulcers. The formulation is based on the "Moist Exposed Burn Therapy" (MEBT) concept, which aims to provide a physiological moist environment for wound healing while protecting the wound from infection and promoting tissue regeneration. Its primary active ingredients include beta-sitosterol, sesame oil, and beeswax. The ointment is widely used in China and other regions for first- to third-degree burns, surgical wounds, and chronic ulcers.
