Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MEDI0639 is an investigational human monoclonal antibody that specifically targets Delta-like ligand 4 (DLL4), a key component of the Notch signaling pathway. By binding to DLL4, MEDI0639 prevents its interaction with Notch receptors, thereby inhibiting Notch-mediated signaling and gene transcription. This mechanism disrupts tumor angiogenesis and can inhibit tumor cell growth by promoting the formation of nonfunctional vasculature within tumors. The drug was developed for oncology indications, particularly advanced solid tumors[1][2][3][6]. It was originally developed by MedImmune (now part of AstraZeneca)[4][5].
