**MEDI3617 + bevacizumab** is a combination of two monoclonal antibodies: MEDI3617, a fully humanized IgG1 kappa monoclonal antibody that selectively binds and inhibits angiopoietin-2 (Ang2), and bevacizumab, a monoclonal antibody targeting vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A). MEDI3617 blocks Ang2 from interacting with the Tie2 receptor, suppressing angiogenesis and tumor growth. Bevacizumab inhibits VEGF-A, another critical pathway for tumor angiogenesis. The combination was investigated in advanced solid tumors (including glioma and ovarian cancer) to assess whether concurrent inhibition of Ang2 and VEGF signaling would augment antiangiogenic and antitumor effects while avoiding overlapping toxicities. MEDI3617 development was discontinued due to limited clinical activity.
