MEDI7510 is an investigational intramuscular vaccine developed for the prevention of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infections in adults and the elderly. It consists of a recombinant RSV F protein antigen (derived from the A2 strain in postfusion configuration and produced in Chinese hamster ovary cells) combined with GLA-SE, a synthetic adjuvant based on glucopyranosyl lipid A formulated in a squalene-based oil-in-water stable emulsion. The GLA component was licensed from Immune Design's GLAAS discovery platform. The vaccine acts as an immunostimulant to enhance immune responses against RSV infection. Clinical development reached phase II before being discontinued[1][5][7].
