Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Medical ozone gas is an investigational therapeutic agent consisting of ozone (O3), a triatomic molecule of oxygen. It is being evaluated by Centro Ginecológico Ginfer for applications in reproductive medicine, specifically for women with recurrent implantation failure (RIF) and recurrent pregnancy loss. The treatment involves intrauterine instillation of the gas, which is hypothesized to modulate the uterine environment by influencing uterine natural killer (uNK) cells and improving embryo implantation rates. Currently, it is being studied in a Phase 3 clinical trial in Spain for patients undergoing deferred embryo transfer.
