Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MediClear Scar is a medical device developed by Covalon Technologies Ltd. for the prophylactic treatment and management of hypertrophic and keloid scars. It consists of a thin, transparent polyurethane film coated with a soft silicone adhesive gel. The device is designed to be applied topically to closed wounds, including those resulting from surgery or burns. By providing a protective barrier that intimately adheres to the skin's contours, it maintains a moist environment and applies gentle pressure, which helps to soften, flatten, and fade scar tissue. It is intended for continuous wear for up to seven days and is discreet enough for use on visible areas.
