Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Meilia Fuxin is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) oral solution developed by Sichuan Good Doctor Panxi Pharmaceutical for the prevention and treatment of radiation-induced oral mucositis (RIOM). It is currently being evaluated in a Phase 2 clinical trial (CTR20241453) in China, specifically targeting patients with head and neck cancer who are receiving radiotherapy with or without cisplatin-based chemotherapy. The drug is designed to alleviate the severity of mucosal damage and promote healing of the oral cavity during cancer treatment. As a TCM formulation, it likely functions through multi-target anti-inflammatory and tissue-regenerative pathways to protect the oral mucosa from radiation damage.
