Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Meilian Fuxin Solution is a topical regenerative formulation derived from the extract of *Periplaneta americana* (the American cockroach). Developed and studied by West China Hospital, it is primarily indicated for the prevention and treatment of radiation dermatitis in patients undergoing radiotherapy, such as those with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. The solution contains a complex mixture of bioactive components, including amino acids, peptides, and polyols, which are thought to promote wound healing by stimulating the growth of granulation tissue, enhancing angiogenesis, and providing anti-inflammatory effects. It is typically applied topically to the affected skin areas to accelerate tissue repair and mitigate the severity of radiation-induced skin damage.
