**Meklin** is an oral fixed-dose antibacterial combination marketed by Bennet Pharmaceuticals. Each capsule contains **metronidazole 400 mg** and **tetracycline 333 mg**. Metronidazole is activated in susceptible anaerobic bacteria and protozoa to form reactive metabolites that damage microbial DNA, while tetracycline binds the bacterial 30S ribosomal subunit and inhibits protein synthesis. The product is used for susceptible mixed bacterial and protozoal infections, including gastrointestinal infections.
