Drug intelligence / Profile preview
melapuldencel-T + sargramostim is an investigational combination immunotherapy for advanced melanoma. melapuldencel-T is an autologous dendritic cell-based vaccine derived from the patient’s own tumor, designed to stimulate a cancer-targeted immune response. Sargramostim is a recombinant human granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) that enhances the differentiation, activation, and function of immune cells, especially dendritic cells, neutrophils, and macrophages. In this combination, melapuldencel-T presents tumor antigens to the immune system, while sargramostim acts as an immune adjuvant to increase vaccine potency by promoting antigen-presenting cell function and linking innate and adaptive immunity. The combination is under investigation for use in metastatic or unresectable melanoma.
