Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MelCancerVac is a dendritic cell-based therapeutic cancer vaccine developed for the treatment of various solid tumors, including metastatic colorectal cancer, breast cancer, advanced colorectal adenocarcinoma, and melanoma. The vaccine utilizes autologous dendritic cells loaded with tumor antigens to stimulate the patient's immune system toward a Th1-dominated response against tumor cells. Clinical studies have shown that the vaccine is non-toxic and safe, with some patients achieving stable disease and maintaining high quality of life during treatment. Immunological analyses indicate increased levels of Th1 cytokines (such as GM-CSF, TNF-alpha, IFN-gamma, IL-2) in patients who respond to therapy[1][2].
