Melissa officinalis (homeopathic)

A homeopathic preparation of *Melissa officinalis* (Lemon Balm) being evaluated by the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) for the treatment of probable sleep bruxism in children and adolescents. The study investigates the effectiveness of different centesimal potencies (6cH, 9cH, and 12cH) in a randomized, triple-blind, crossover, and placebo-controlled clinical trial. *Melissa officinalis* is traditionally utilized for its sedative, anxiolytic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-spasmodic properties, which are attributed to the essential oils found in its leaves. As a homeopathic remedy, the preparation involves high dilutions, and the trial aims to assess its impact on sleep quality, circadian cycle, and oral health-related quality of life in participants aged 5 to 16 years.
