Overview

MELT-400 is a sublingual, non-opioid formulation of ketamine developed by Melt Pharmaceuticals for pain management. It utilizes Catalent's proprietary Zydis® orally disintegrating tablet (ODT) technology to provide a needle-free, sublingual delivery system. MELT-400 is also a component of MELT-300, a combination product of midazolam and ketamine. Melt Pharmaceuticals submitted an Investigational New Drug (IND) application for MELT-400 to the FDA in early 2022.
