MEM 1414 is a novel, oral small molecule inhibitor of phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE4), developed for its potential to treat diseases involving inflammation and cognitive dysfunction. By selectively inhibiting PDE4, MEM 1414 increases levels of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) in the brain and immune cells.
